He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Beckner and Maude Beckner (Meyer); his son-in-law William "Bill" Stephens; and his brother-in-law Melvin Baker. He is survived by: his wife Roberta H. Burk; his children, Mary H. Stephens of Waldron and Dean E. Beckner (Karen) of Waldron; his sister Betty J. Baker of New Palestine; his grandchildren, Krystal Barnard (Justin), Russell Beckner (Casi), Kelsey Meal (Rob), Allison Meyer (Patrick) and Loriann Beckner (Joshua Wenger); his great grandchildren, Ava, Layla of Izzy, R. J., Sara, Charles, Nora and Meredith; his niece Kelli; and his nephew David.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Freeman Family Funeral Homes (819 S Harrison St, Shelbyville, IN 46176). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
