It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Eldon Bowlby of Waldron, Indiana, born in Shelby, Indiana, who passed away on September 4, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, A. Carl Bowlby and Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Bowlby (Hodson); his sister Eula Irene "E. I." Smith; his brothers-in-law, Harry Smith and Danny Buckley; and his niece Deborah Irene Rosen.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy J. Gravely; his children, Michael Bowlby (Krista), Melinda Bunch (Cliff), Steven Bowlby (Teresa) and Todd Bowlby (Michelle); his grandchildren, Amanda Ferguson, Amy Cerri, Michael Bowlby, Cassandra Jo Larson, Nick Bowlby, Derrick Bowlby and Tyler Bowlby; his stepgrandchildren, Gabe and Sara; his great grandchildren, Henry Ferguson, John Ferguson, Noah Bowlby and Ella Cerri; and his sister Mary Helen Buckley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
