He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Scherer and Martha Scherer (Lechlitner); and his siblings, Phyllis Shaffer and Wayne Scherer. He is survived by: his partner Francelia Roig of Goshen; and his children, Kim Scherer (Christine Heeter), Kirt Scherer (Judy), Charlie Scherer (Sonja) and Denise Weldy (Mark). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Homes (117 W Waterford St, Wakarusa, IN 46573). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
