David Jess Schmitz Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Jess Schmitz of Wadesville, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 11, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Moses Schmitz and Lorena Schmitz (Hoell); his wife Betty Schmitz (Schauss); and his siblings, Charles Schmitz, Paul Schmitz, Earl Schmitz, Norman Schmitz, John Schmitz, Stephen Schmitz, Charlotte Charles and Alberta Schmitz.

He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Lee (Gary), Marsha Burmeister (Joseph) and Marilyn Frank (Keith); his grandchildren, Mackenzie Schmidt (Kraig), Ryan Burmeister (Hannah), Hannah Burmeister and Trenton Burmeister (Samantha); his great grandchildren, Hope, Charles Schmidt, Noah, Ava Burmeister and Elijah Burmeister; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Schauss and Clara Schmitz.
