He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Edward and Kathryn Shepler (Hirt); his son Richard Lee Shepler; his great grandchild Dustin Lee Shepler; and his siblings, Mildred Preiser, Olive Hancock, Ruby Worthen and Harold Shepler.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Shepler of Wabash; his children, Beverly Richardson (Donald) of North Manchester, Jerry LeRoy Shepler (Peggy) of Wabash and Vicki Sue Warner of Fort Wayne; and his grandchildren, Scott Richardson (Judy) of Wabash, Jeff Richardson (Dawn) of Pendleton, Candi Eltzroth (Clary) of North Manchester, Stacy Shepler (Ann) of Wabash, Travis Shepler (Angie) of Roann, Brad Shepler (Shelley) of Wabash, Cory Shepler (Jamie) of Wabash, Richard Shepler (Lori) of Wabash, Jennifer Hope (Ian) of Fort Wayne and Jarrod Colvin of Wabash.
