He was predeceased by: his parents, D. L. Leland and Bertha Leland (Martin); his wife Mary Metzger; and his sisters, Debbie Leland of Fishers and Anne Leland of Taiwan, Japan.
He is survived by: his children, Sam Leland (Katie) of Wabash, Indiana, Stan Leland (Kathy) of Wabash, Indiana, Don Leland (Tyann) of Wabash, Indiana and Marianne Milam (Mark) of Roann, Indiana; his grandchildren, Leah Thurman (Nathan), Hannah Neuenschwander (Andrew), Tyler Leland (Adriane), Andrea Pretorius (Joe), Jackson Leland (Brittney), Joseph Leland, Erika White (Carson), Evan Milam (Mackenzie) and Ellie Milam; and his caregiver Fern Dillon. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
