He is survived by: his former wife Karen Carpenter (Glassburn); his children, Cory Carpenter (Somer) of Greenwood, Tyson Carpenter, Maxwell Carpenter of Wabash, Megan Fields of Wabash and Kaylee Gates (Joseph) of Fort Wayne; his brother Brian Carpenter of Wabash; and his grandchildren, Knydal Fields, Keaton Fields and Kylie Carpenter.
