With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vera Maxine Baker (Wabash, Indiana), born in Marianna, Arkansas, who passed away on February 16, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Franklin and Mollie Belle James (Oxner); her son Rory Baker; and her brother Roy Van James. She is survived by: her husband Ronald L. Baker; her children, Ron Baker of Casa Grande, Rick Baker of Wabash and Robbi LaSalle (Jeff) of Peru; her grandchildren, Brent Baker (Allison) of New Palestine, Ryan Baker (Gina) of Wabash, Calen Baker of Bloomington, Gerad Baker (Esperanza) of Casa Grande, Justin Baker of Houma, Megan Prater (Chris) of Martinsville and Mandy Buttry of Bloomington; and her sister-in-law Rose Thayer of Bloomington. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, three sisters.

Preferred memorial is Lagro Canal Foundation Fund c/o Community Foundation of Wabash County.
