He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Gillespie and Dorothy Gillespie (Malott); and his brother Ramon Gillespie. He is survived by: his spouse Ines M. Brewer; his sons, Dr. Ron Gillespie (Grace) of West Lafayette, Dr. Tom Gillespie (Denise) of Battle Ground and Phil Gillespie (Cheryl) of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Chris Gillespie (Anne) of Random Lake, Amanda Goodspeed of West Lafayette, Rebecca Rowan (Chris) of Lafayette, Kevin Gillespie (Bonnie) of Lafayette, Matt Gillespie (Erin) of Whitestown, Kendra Pogue (Curt) of Morocco, Rachel Parteko of Ossian and Andy Gillespie of Fort Wayne; and his sister-in-law Margie Gillespie of Wabash. He is also survived by 25 great grandchildren.
