He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Brane and Susanna Brane (Thompson); and his brother Donald Brane. He is survived by: his former wife Gladys Meggit; his wife Joann Scott (Smithley); his brothers, John R. Brane of Van Buren and Claude Brane (Mary) of LaFontaine; his nieces and nephews, Mike Brane (Lori) of LaFontaine, Debbie Blanchard (Guy) of Fishers, Sam Brane (Patricia) of LaFontaine, Darryl Brane (Christine) of Van Buren, Anna Brown (Brian) of Goshen, Sarah Brankle (Greg) of Van Buren and Susan Hinderliter (Eric) of Van Buren; and his stepsons, Ronald Scott (Kathy) of Logansport and John Scott (Karen) of Kokomo. He is also survived by 4 step-grandchildren, and 11 step great-grandchildren.
Preferred memorial is the charity of the Donor's choice.
