She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Lucas and Ethel Lucas (Cox); and her husband Elmer Sandlin. She is survived by: her children, Pamella A. Guthrie (Charles) of Wabash, Laura G. Beck of Indianapolis and Andrew W. Sandlin of Seymour; and her siblings, Margaret Haddix of Columbus and Daniel Lucas of North Vernon. She is also survived by four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
