She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Tasch and Charolette Tasch (Gorney); and her husband John W. Shafer. She is survived by: her children, Phillip Shafer of Indianapolis, Christopher Shafer of Genoa, Ohio, Kathleen Hults (Jerry) of Wabash and Jill Cox (Bill) of Indianapolis, Indiana; her grandchildren, Mathew Bruhn (Jennifer Blok) of Indianapolis, Alison McDonald (Jon) of Wabash, Adam Hengen (Heather) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Simone Evans of Indianapolis, Indiana, Abby Hengen of Indianapolis, Indiana and Christian Shafer of Indianapolis, Indiana; her great grandchildren, Jacob Bates, Phoenix Bates, Cale Lundquist and Lilly Shafer; and her sister Marylin Chamberlain of Greenville.
