He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Sr. Howard and Maggie Howard (Shepherd); his son Jerry Howard; and his brothers, Kenny Howard and Les Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hooks of Wabash, Indiana; his children, David Howard of Wabash, Indiana, Tracy McMahan (Mark) of Montevideo, Brenda Hetzner (Alan) of Denver and Maggie Howard of Wabash, Indiana; his grandchildren, Kayla Stefanatos, Devon Howard, Ryan Davenport, Andrea Shively, Jadelyn McMahan and Annalise McMahan; his stepgrandchildren, Brandon Hetzner and Taylor Defch; and his siblings, Paul Howard of Nappanee, Indiana and Sue Clemons of Cromwell, Indiana.. He is also survived by four step-great grandchildren.
