He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Petro and Velma Petro Pierce (Berry); and his brother John Petro. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Petro; his children, Joseph Michael Petro (Megan) of LaFontaine, Indiana and Amy Bass (Randall) of Waynesboro, Virginia; his sister Pam Whitener (Jerry) of LaFontaine, Indiana; his grandchildren, Briana Bass, Grant Petro, Bailey Petro and Madison Petro; his children, Steve Emrick (Jennifer) of Wabash, Indiana and Toni Rose (John) of Wabash, Indiana; and his sister-in-law Sharon Petro.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the LaFontaine Chapel (104 S Main St, La Fontaine, IN 46940). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
