With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Kilander of Wabash, Indiana, who passed away on March 1, 2025 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Kilander to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Kilander and Effie Mae Kilander (Lee); his son Craig E. Dowling; and his siblings, George Kilander, Michael Kilander and Brenda Zumbaugh.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Beth Kilander of Wabash; his children, Carina Travis of Warsaw and Scott Kilander of Warsaw; his daughter-in-law Traci Corey (Kevin) of Marion, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jonathan Saunders (Lacy) of Warsaw, Brian Saunders of Fort Wayne, Quinton Dowling (Tyler) of Marion and Alivia Corey of Marion; and his great grandchildren, Owen Saunders, Liam Saunders, Carter Dowling and Waymon Saunders. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service (1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash, IN 46992). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at the Falls Cemetery (725 Falls Ave, Wabash, IN 46992).
Preferred memorials are the Disabled American Veterans or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
