It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Vandegrift (Wabash, Indiana), who passed away on September 5, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James William "Bill" and Hazel Jane Vandegrift (Garrison); and her sister Maxine Lucille Howard. She is survived by: her brother-in-law Joe Howard of Roann; her niece Becky Pitts (Kendall) of North Manchester; her nephew Michael Howard (Tammy) of Urbana; her sister Rita Smith of LaFontaine; her adoptive daughter Debra McGowan (Dave) of The Dalles, Oregon; and her great-nephews, Christopher Cartwright (Lora), Adam Cartwright (Angie), Seth Cartwright (Tiffany), J. P. Pitts (Dana), Tim Pitts (Shellie), Chad Howard (Lea), Cale Howard (Paige), Caton Howard (Nicole) and Cameron Howard.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Animal Shelter of Wabash County or to the Wabash Friends Church (Onward to the goal fund) would be appreciated.
