He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Barnes and Agnes Barnes (Fansler); his grandson Joshua Barnes; and his siblings, Alice Marie Cross, Rosemary Walton, Willard and Jim Barnes.
He is survived by: his former wife Rosemary Marshall; his wife Rosemary Barnes of Wabash; his children, Cynthia "Cindy" Rose Dennison (Jim) of Wabash, Dean Richard Barnes (Melissa) of Carmel, Rex Allen Barnes (Connie) of Berkeley Springs and Lisa Kay Bauer of Homosassa, Florida; and his grandchildren, Michael Dennison (Terri) of Wabash, Ryan Dennison of Marion, Jared Dennison of San Diego, Clayton Ellet (Mandy) of Wabash, Randie Bonwell (Traves) of Carmel, Jeremy Barnes of Fishers and Justin Barnes (Mitch) of Mccomb. He is also survived by six great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
