She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Smits and Mary Smits (Maglinger); her daughter Christina Colleen Bryant; and her granddaughter Rebecca Ashba. She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Ashba of Wabash and Patricia Finster of Pine Grove; her grandchildren, Allyson Clare Lash (Nate) of Strausstown, Lora Acker (Grant) of Fort Wayne, E. Bruce Ashba, Jr. of Fort Wayne and Eric Andrew Ashba (Amy) of Fort Wayne; and her siblings, Cathy Cole (Jesse) of Georgia and Garrett Smits (Marilyn) of Michigan. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service (1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash, IN 46992). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at the Memorial Lawns Cemetery (1100 Manchester Ave, Wabash, IN 46962).
