We are sad to announce that on July 27, 2020, at the age of 91, Dixie Tackett (Wabash, Indiana), born in Van Lear, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Blevins and Sara Blevins (Manns); her daughters, Brenda Schumaker and Judy Tackett; and her brothers, Everett Blevins, Jr. and Virgil Blevins.

She is survived by: her husband Freddie Tackett; her children, Teresa Tackett of Wabash, Tammie Tackett of Wabash and Randy Tackett of Wabash; her grandchildren, Jessie Tackett (Abby) of Wabash, Jared Tackett (Jessica) of Wabash, Travis Tackett (Kristen) of Wabash, Heath Tackett of Wabash, Nick Schumaker (Stephanie) of South Bend, Kevin Schumaker (Caitlyn) of South Bend and Brian Schumaker (Melissa) of Indianapolis; and her sisters, Betty Johnson of Wabash, Lora McGovern (Terry) of Wabash, Josephine Banks of Wabash and Marie Tackett of Wabash. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
