He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Tiede and Margeurite Birk (Gunn); his wife Julie Godo; his son Franklin Tiede; and his brother Jack Tiede.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Moffett (Monte) of Porter, Kathryn Meyers (Bryan) of Canoga Park, Julianne Tiede (Michael Smith) of Wabash and Margo Tiede-White (Mark White) of Indianapolis, Indiana; his grandchildren, Trey Moffett of Katy, Leah Meyers of Indianapolis, Lauren Hiatt (Adam) of Pendleton, Alexandria Nunez (Gary) of Reseda, Aaron Smith (Eleanor Wyant) of Dorchester Center, Adam Smith (Skyla Turner) of Ypsilanti, Ava Smith of Wabash, Megan Tiede-White of Indianapolis, Mattingly Tiede-White of Indianapolis and Michelle Bailey; and his siblings, Loren Tiede and Lorraine Moerman. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Preferred memorial is Franklin S. Tiede Memorial Scholarship at the Community Foundation of Wabash County.
