He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Sr. Monroe and Ludie Monroe (Madden); and his sisters, Alene Monroe, Josephine Harms and Viola Gilbert.
He is survived by: his sons, Perry Monroe of Huntington and Tommie Monroe; his grandchildren, Avorie Monroe of Ohio, Adreonna Monroe of Ohio and Izayha Monroe of Ohio; and his siblings, Virginia Mary Ruth Whiteneck (Bruce) of Warsaw, Bernice Ballew of Orlando, Louise Lawshe of Orlando, Barbara Prater (Tim) of Wabash, Clarissa Poe (Charlie) of Seattle, Hershel Monroe (Eileen) of Andrews, Don Monroe of Wabash, Roy Monroe Jr. of Peru, Orville Monroe (Liz) of Wabash, Jerry Monroe (Susie) of Leesburg and Larry Monroe (Connie) of Wabash.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Christian Heritage Church (2776 River Rd, Wabash, IN 46992). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
