He was predeceased by: his mother Beverly Sue Burton (Bennett); and his nephew Kaemon Burton. He is survived by: his father James Burton of Wabash; his daughters, Sarah Burton of Wabash and Kassidy Burton of Peru; his grandchildren, Liam Christopher Burton of Wabash and Emery Lynn Burton of Wabash; his siblings, Angel Hostetler (John) of Wabash, Amanda McCord (Dale) of Wabash and Andrew Burton (Amber Denney) of Kokomo; his nieces and nephews, Nick Hostetler (Megan), Devin Hostetler, Austin Hostetler (Alyssa), Mason Hostetler (Autumn Housman), Jaci Gahl (Andrew), A. J. McCord, Alexis Burton (Todd), Ashtyn Burton and Dallas Burton; his great-nephew Jayce Hostetler; and his great-niece Mia Hostetler.

Preferred memorials are to Kaemon Burton's Scholarship Fund or Wabash Little League.
