She was predeceased by: her husband Buddy L Goodwin Sr.; her parents, Ermel C. Holder and Freida Holder (Pruitt); and her son Michael David. She is survived by: her children, Kimberly K. Gott-Nicol (Rob) of Vincennes, Kathy Morris (David) of Vincennes and Buddy L. Goodwin Jr. of Vincennes; her grandchildren, Ashlee Morris, Tonya Dortch (Roger), Heather Goodwin, Jordan Goodwin and Quinton Goodwin; her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Rose Donaldson, Kaislee Paige Galanos and Kamaree Payton Galanos; her cousin Glenda Emmett; and her sister Janice Boyles.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Vincennes Community Food Pantry, St. Vincent DePaul, or the Salvation Army.

“My thoughts and prayers go out to all family members for the loss of their beloved mother, and my favorite "Aunt Rosie", Rose Goodwin. I am so very grateful to have her in my life growing up. Aunt Rosie always took an interest in my education and work. Her generous nature was unparalleled as she traditionally cooked the best Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for family and those in need. Her only sister, my mother, Janice Boyles will miss her terribly and was able to visit her this past October.”
