He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Chanley and Clara Elizabeth Chanley (Bauer); and his siblings, Rita Hartzburg and James Chanley. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Ann Chanley of St. Francisville, IL, Robert E. Chanley, Jr. of Vincennes and Jennifer L. Winburn (Jay) of Vincennes; his siblings, William Chanley of Vincennes, Raymond Chanley of Vincennes, David "Duke" Chanley (Catherine) of Vincennes, Kenneth Chanley of Vincennes, Howard Chanley of Vincennes, Linda Hacker (Steve) of Vincennes and Larry Chanley of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Anna Marie Chanley, William Quinton (Alexa), Brayton Chanley, Reily Slayton, Robert Chanley III, Colton Chanley, Ian Quinton and Joseph Chanley; and his great grandchildren, Oplynn, August and Lucas Chanley.
He donated every year to the Tupelo Childrens Organization.
