Orison Smith III Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Orison Smith III (Vincennes, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 18, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Orison shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Orison farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Smith and Dorothy Ward (Bass); his siblings, Mary Adah and Roger; his daughter Teri; and his grandson Mason.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Smith (Martindale) of Monroe City; and his children, Emily Bartley of North Carolina, Marty, Jerry Smith (Denise) of Monroe City, Jason Smith (Kathy) of Terre Haute and Bobbi Alvis (Brett) of Monroe City. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (919 Willow St, Vincennes, IN 47591).
