She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Commodore and Gretchen Bernice Grass McKinley; her husband Fritz Halter; her daughter Maribeth Halter; her son-in-law David Piller; and her brothers, Willard McKinley and Ronald Gene McKinley.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Hopkins (Richard) of Loogootee, IN, Brenda Halter of Evansville, IN, Carol Piller of Reading, PA, Karen Stevenson (Willie) of Vincennes, IN and Frederick Halter II of Vincennes, IN.; her grandchildren, Andrew Hopkins, Ethan Hopkins, Corina Piller, Candi Grismore and B. J. Stevenson; and her great grandchild Paisley Hopkins.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home (521 Vigo St, Vincennes, IN 47591). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Thomas Catholic Church (6268 S St Thomas Rd, Vincennes, IN 47591).
