It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary M. Halter of Vincennes, Indiana, born in Knox, Indiana, who passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Wetzel Holscher and Hernry Holscher; and her siblings, William, Walter, Myrle, Maurice, Henry, Paul Holscher, Ruth Primus, Betty Williams, Loretta Halter and Emma Purcell.

She is survived by: her husband Francis Halter; her children, Cheryl Halter (late Becky) of Plainfield, IN, Karen Gelb (Dan) of Indianapolis, IN, Ron Halter, Don Halter of Vincennes, IN and Amy Norris (Tom) of Ellettsville, IN.; her grandchildren, Audrey Gelb, Sadie Gelb, Emma Halter-Mann, Carl Norris, Henry Norris and Joe Norris; and her pet Porter Wayne Halter.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Christian Education Foundation or IUF Miles for Myeloma.
