We bid farewell to Mary Jo Bird of Vincennes, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 20, 2024 at the age of 87. Mary Jo touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Renna Mae Cullison and C. Lane Martin; her husband Robert H. Bird; her stepdaughter Heather Bird; and her brother Bruce A. Martin of Vincennes.
She is survived by: her sister Linda Martin Shannon (Carl) of West Bend, WI; her children, Susan Hudson Coulter (Kem) of Houston, TX, Doug Hudson of Bradenton, FL, Lea Ann Hudson Martinovich (Eric) of Vincennes and Laura (Chad); her grandchildren, Meghan Coulter Nelson (Erik), Joel Coulter (Judith) and Andrew Coulter (Johnathan Richards) of Houston; her children, Sarah Hayden of Evansville, IN, Elliott Hudson (Laura Lewis) of Bloomington, IN, Aubrey Hudson (Rhett Laffoon) of Chicago, IL and Alex Hills (Jess Cooper) of Lawrenceville, IL; her great grandchildren, Liliana Coulter, Emilia Coulter, Freya Nelson of Houston, Jaycee Hills, Alex, Liam, Addie and Declan Cooper of Lawrenceville; and her son Jack Hudson.
In lieu of flowers, and should friends desire, contributions can be made in memory of Mary Jo Bird to: the new outdoor playground at Community Church of Vincennes; the Heather Bird Memorial Scholarship Fund of the Knox County Community Foundation; or to a charity of choice.
