She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hayes and Gladys Hayes; her husband Morris Cardinal; her daughter Margaret Dunstan; and her siblings, John Hayes, Jack Hayes, Patsy Daffron and Mary Thompson.

She is survived by: her grandson Jason Dunstan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
