He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Newell and Hester I. Newell (Brown); and his wife Virginia L. Newell (Culter). He is survived by: his children, Tim Newell (Debbie) of Oaktown, Donnie Newell of Edwardsport, Eddie Newell (Anne) of Sandborn, Regina Kaiser (Paul) of Sandborn and Tonya Williams (Mike) of Sandborn; his grandchildren, Shaun Williams (Jennifer), Samantha Smith (Josh), Adam Kaiser, Amber Yagle (Nate), Brianna Newell, Libby Newell, Abby Turner (Brandon), Kristi Sanders (Tyler), Kaitlyn and Michael Ashby; and his brother Richard M. Newell (Betty) of Greenfield, IN..
