She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Schlomer and Edna Schlomer; her former husband Syrill Sievers; her siblings, C. E., George, James B., William L., Harold Paul, Ralph, Tom Schlomer, Cecilia Yochum, Sister Mary Daniel, Helen Bennett and Rosina Madison; her sons-in-law, Tim Carie and David Chanley; and her grandson Keith Carie.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine Chanley, Francis Sievers (Danette), Della Bergauff (Larry) and Sarah Deckard (Dwight); her siblings, Mary Ruth Barmes and Cletus Schlomer (Gayle); and her husband Sievers Grocery Store. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes (313 Church St, Vincennes, IN 47591). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent Catholic Church (1837 S Hart Street Rd, Vincennes, IN 47591).
Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital or Betty J. McCormick Senior Citizen Center.
