It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Colleen Carter of Vincennes, Indiana, who passed away on January 16, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Lay and Esther Lay (Burke); her husband Clifford Carter; her siblings, James Lay (Dorothy), Wilma Hall (Leo), Vance Lay (Esther), Doris Berry (Chuck), Jack Lay (Joyce), Jean Black (James), Otto Lay and Bill Lay (Betty); and her children-in-law, Carol Scott and Bob Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Scott (Brenda), Vickie Smith, Francis Scott (Teresa), Beth Ann Scott, Nancy Scott and Ralph Scott (Amy); and her sister-in-law Ellen Lay. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial Donations can be made to the Knox County Humane Society in Mrs. Carter's honor.
