She was predeceased by: her parents, Barbara Bottoms (Shepherd) and Aubrey Bottoms; her husband Joseph Hess; her half-brother Jack Bottoms; and her granddaughter Bethany Grimes (Palmer).
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Palmer (Hess) of Vincennes and Patrick Hess of Irvine, CA; her grandchildren, Ashley Engle (Palmer) of Zionsville, Jeremy Besse-Hess of Irvine, CA and Laura Sweeney (Palmer) of Zionsville; and her great grandchildren, Adeline, Brooks Engle of Zionsville, Jackson, William Sweeney of Zionsville and Daniel Grimes of Huntsville, AL..
