He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne L. Bumgarner and Mary A. Thomas Bumgarner; his wife Margaret Sucec; and his sisters, Betty Bayne (Roland) and Rita Nowaskie (Harold).
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Bumgarner (Ellen) of Homer Glen, IL and Michael Bumgarner (Caroline) of Montgomery, IN.; his grandchildren, Jessica Barber (Keith), Mitchell Bumgarner, Megan Bumgarner and Austin Bumgarner; and his great grandchildren, Kamryn, Kaleb, Ben, Hazel, Charlotte and Ellie.
