He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Loren and Goldie M. Copeland (Dean); his former wife Betty Jo Copeland (Ward); his son Allen Wayne Copeland; and his siblings, Marie Self, Viola Riggins, Lucille Johnson, Betty Deboard, Frances Coleman, Mary Betz, George, Leonard, Frank, Jerry, James and Robert Copeland.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Ward; his granddaughter Elizabeth Ann; his daughter Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Marin of La Verne, CA; his grandchildren, Michael Copeland (Jacquie), Tye Joseph Copeland (Destiny), Emily Marshburn (Todd), Amanda Cruise (Aaron), Allison Marin (Jennifer) and Joshua Marin; his great grandchildren, Cameron, Mikayla, Tycen, Ethen, Jocelynn, Abigail and Dylan; and his sister Patricia Orr (Robert) of Rogersville, TN. He is also survived by his several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Baptist Church in Dillsboro, Indiana.
