We bid farewell to Richard Dale Weales of Vevay, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 3, 2025 at the age of 77. Richard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Sullivan Weales and Lucille Smith Weales; his parents-in-law, Bud and Jeanne Taflinger; his brother Robert "Bob" Weales; and his granddaughter Nevaeh Grayce Weales.
He is survived by: his wife Cheri Taflinger; his children, Jeff Weales (Sally) of Vail, AZ and Jennifer Bostic (Noel) of Aurora, IN; his grandchildren, Ali (Jake), Bailee (Matt), Sydney, Calvin and Crosby; his sister Jane Fairall of Cincinnati, OH; his siblings-in-law, Karen Weales of Columbus, IN, Linda Horlander of Jeffersonville, IN, Mark and Cathy Taflinger of Jeffersonville, IN; and his cousins, Kenny Smith (Sharon), Mary Jane Rogers (Tom), Kathy Ellegood, Randall Weales (June) and Gail Sooy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home (208 Ferry St, Vevay, IN 47043). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Switzerland County Pacer Varsity Club.
