He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hilligoss and Lucy Kirkendall (Florence); his stepfather John Kirkendall; his siblings, Shirley Peelman and Joe Kirkendall; his father-in-law Ralph Pike; his brother-in-law Kenneth Neal; and his stepgranddaughter Carrie Ann Magyar.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jean Hilligoss (Pike) of Vevay, IN; his children, James Robert "Bobby" Hilligoss, II (Pamela) of Florence, IN, Roger Dale Hilligoss of Rising Sun, IN, Richard Keith Hilligoss (Susan) of Vevay, IN and Roxanna Janene Williams (Terry) of Elkhart, IN; his brothers, John William Hilligoss (Joyce) of Big Rapids, MI and Victor Kirkendall (Loretta Dawn) of Haughton, LA; his mother-in-law Frances Lorraine Pike (Peters) of Vevay, IN; and his sister-in-law Shirley Neal of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by his several nieces and nephews.
