He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Henry and Bessie E. Callahan (Thompson); and his siblings, Albert, Roy, Guy Callahan and Dorothy Crawford.

He is survived by: his wife Judith Ann Flowers Callahan (McDowell) of Vevay, IN; his children, Robert William Callahan of Indianapolis, IN, Dorinda K. Mann of Indianapolis, IN and Rhonda Ann Day (Kenneth) of Indianapolis, IN; his stepchildren, John Robert Flowers (Marsha) of Indianapolis, IN and Monica Sue Burris of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Lee Callahan and Robert William Callahan, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Cierra, Cody, Caleb and Starr Callahan; his stepgrandsons, Cody, Mathew Burris, Robert Mounce, Jr. and Dalton Mounce; his stepgreat-granddaughters, Amelia and Evelyn Burris; and his sister Mary Williams of Greenwood, IN..
