He was predeceased by: his parents, James G. Scranton and Anna M. Scranton (Ray); his siblings, Jerrie Powers, Norma Robinson, June Gentry, Grace Gentry and Robert Scranton; and his siblings-in-law, Albert "Buster" Powers, Sr., James Lonnie Gentry and Wanda Scranton.
He is survived by: his son Harold Ray "Snookie" Scranton, Jr. (Lisa) of Fairview, IN; his close friend Louisa Frazier; his grandchildren, Kayla Scranton of Fairview, IN and Nathan Scranton of Fairview, IN; and his brother Donald Scranton of Fairview, IN. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
