He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathleen Hopper (Chapman) and Cecil Hopper; his grandparents, Clarence, Pearl Hopper, Alfred and Artie Chapman; and his siblings, Dean Hopper and Julie.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Smith of New Lisbon, IN and Troy Whitham (Crystal) of Salem, OH; and his siblings, Cecil Hopper Jr. of Cincinnati, OH, Michael Hopper of Bright, IN and Barbara Hopper of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family or the American Heart Association.
