It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Katherine (Staggs) Gutierrez (Vevay, Indiana), who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband José Trevino "Joe" Gutierrez; her parents, John William Staggs and Leona Blanche Staggs (Reeves); her husband Glenn W. Cottey; her daughter Rinda Reed (Staggs); her stepdaughter Dora Adkins; and her siblings, Wilma Frances Vickroy, Thelma Joyce Staggs, William Claude "Buck" Staggs and Charles Leo Staggs.
She is survived by: her children, Glenna Nicholas (Dan) of Indianapolis, IN and Jeff Staggs of East Enterprise, IN; her son-in-law Robert "Bob" Reed of Vevay, IN; her stepchildren, Cindy Little (Barry) of Dallas, GA, Arthur Gutierrez of Indianapolis, IN, Jose T. Gutierrez, Jr. (Sydney) of Indianapolis, IN, Anthony Gutierrez of Indianapolis, IN and Andy Gutierrez (Maria) of West Lafayette, IN; her grandchildren, Jackie, Zachary, Timothy, Adam, Angela and Jennifer; her great grandchild Joanna; and her brother Wayne Staggs of Morehead, KY. She is also survived by her several step-grandchildren; her several step-great-grandchildren.
