He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John W. "Jay" Adkinson and Lillie Fern Adkinson (Dean); his wife Diane Adkinson (Napier) of Versailles; his children, Aaron Adkinson (Ruth Ann) of Holton, Brian Adkinson of Batesville, Angel Mills (Matthew) of Versailles, Keesha Seaver (Johnnie) of Versailles and Jessica Adkinson of Scottsburg; and his brother Jerry Adkinson (Georgia) of Elrod. He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
