We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2021, at the age of 93, Lela Mae Hammons Mahoney of Vernon, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Owen Hammons and Carrie Bruce King Hammons; and her siblings, Owen Edward Hammons, James Elmer Matthew Hammons, Della Evelyn Hammons Coffin, Louise M. Hammons Leach, Martha Marie Hammons McDole and Thelma Laverne Hammons Crafton.
She is survived by: her husband Vernon "Darrell" Mahoney of Madison, Indiana; her sons, Steve Mahoney (Patty) of Madison and Keith Mahoney (Kim) of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Ryan (Janie), Kristen (Jordan), Kenton (Logann), Kyler (Kiersten) and Kindsey (Jimmy); her great grandchildren, Ellie, Anna, Kade and Addison; her brother Randall Hammons of Canaan, Indiana; and her siblings-in-law, Rannie Mahoney of Milton, Kentucky, Eva Handlon of Milton, Myra Hinman of Milton, Brenda Richmond (David) of Bedford, Kentucky and Connie Mahoney of Madison, Indiana. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
