He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Dace and Retha Dace; his wife Wea Colleen "Cokie" Watson Dace; his brother Thompson E. Dace; and his granddaughter Rebecca Jane Sims Eveland.
He is survived by: his daughter Jane Sims (Larry) of Veedersburg, Indiana; his grandchildren, Patti Peters (Eric) of Charlotte and David Sims (Tara) of Veedersburg; his grandson-in-law David Eveland of Knoxville, Tennessee; and also Joann Bretell. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
