He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville L. Powell and Ruth O. Powell (Weaver); and his son Galion T. Powell. He is survived by: his daughters, Chaka-Tela Coleman (Powell) and Suli C. Powell; and his brothers, William L. Powell (Dodi) of Westminster, CO and C. Robert Powell of Lafayette, IN. He is also survived by grandchildren who loved their Papaw.
