He was predeceased by: his parents, David Leroy and Thelma Woodrow Osborn West; his brother-in-law Richard Barker (Dale Barker); his stepson David Wain Huffman; and his stepfather Harvey West.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Rahm Huffman; his siblings, Margaret Barker Veedersburg (Richard), Thomas Gary West St (Leigh) and Kenneth West (Gail Gibson); his niece Tammy Smith; his nephew Brett Barker (Wanda); his daughter-in-law Linda Huffman (David) of Keningston, Ohio; his grandchildren, Amber Beauf (Adam), Michaela and Eric Huffman of Ohio; his great grandchildren, Destiny Troyer and Addison Long; his sisters-in-law, Anna Rahm, Millie Roarks and Judy Rahm; his close friends, Frank, Linda Allen and Millard Cates; and his daughter Judy Keeling.
