He was predeceased by: his parents, Gardner Sampson Bowers and Claudette Clark; and his siblings, Tedia May Snow and Robert Clinton Bowers. He is survived by: his wife Nancy L. Godbey; his sons, Daniel Scott Bowers and Charles Douglas Bowers; and his sister Amber Brewer of Jacksonville, FL.
