He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred F. Covault and Jo Ann Zick; and his pet Roscoe. He is survived by: his siblings, Travis Covault (Sherry), Waylon Smith (Brandy) and Priscilla Hetrick (Jason); and his nieces and nephews, Dustin Smith, Sutton Smith, Chelsey Smith, Taylor Snoddy, Alexis Cates, Hunter Hetrick and Brooke Covault.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
