He was predeceased by: his parents, William Robert "Bill" and Mildred A. "Milly" Ponder (Nicklas). He is survived by: his wife Cynthia J Ponder; his children, Julia Christine Hart (Kevin), Claudia Jane Surguy (Bill), Jeffrey Charles Ponder (Lisa) and Clark Jay Ponder (Shaun); his sister Donna Cunningham (Mike); his grandchildren, Ashley Ward (Brandon), Tiffany Alexander (Sean), Brooke Ponder, Sonja Eads (Taner), Colin Hart (Brianna) and Noah Surguy; and his great grandchildren, Halle Jo Ward, Harrison Jay Ward and Graylynn Eads.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorial contributions be given to the Sterling Christian Church, Indiana Junior Charolais Association, or Indiana Junior Beef Cattle Association.
