She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Holm and LaVerne Holmquist; her husband Rex Shinholt; her son Larry Ryggs; her stepdaughter Laura Keen; and her sister Phyllis Zehner.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Ryggs of Prince, Robert Ryggs (LaDonna) of Greer, SC and Lynda Pickering (Craig) of Swayzee, IN; her stepchildren, Jim Shinholt (Debi) of Greentown, IN, Glen Shinholt of Boston, MA, Sue Shinholt of Indianapolis, IN and Cathy Lyons (Kevin) of Marion, IN; and her siblings, Gene Holm (Phyllis) of San Mateo, CA, Arlene Keb (Harold) of Plymouth, IN and Jackie Vander Velden (John) of Walkerton, IN. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
